In Ideolve it all starts with a workspace. A workspace has notes. Notes are made of rich text content and can be around a topic, idea or project. Anything that needs to be worked upon or recorded. You can attach documents to a note. Notes can be classified by attaching one or more Tags. This helps in quickly classifying the notes. Since a single note can be tagged with one or more tags, you can share information across topics.
To collaborate around an idea, you share a note with one or more users who are team members of your workspace or outside your workspace. Sharing a note with a person outside your workspace allows her to view the notes and comments. Sharing a note with a team member allows her to comment on the note. The comment itself has rich content and can also have attachments. The person can also attach her own tags to the shared notes.

A workspace is a place where you can capture Ideas, thoughts and information in Notes.
All workspaces when created are Private with the notes in it accessible only to you.
But you can turn it into a collaborative workspace by simply sharing your notes with others or inviting them to sign-up into your workspace.
People who sign-up into a workspace, can comment on Notes shared with them or create their own notes that they can then share with other members of the workspace.

We recommend using your name for a workspace you wish to keep the workspace private and using the project name, company name or initiative name to create a collaborative workspace.

That depends on the plan. In the Free Startup plan, you can create up to two workspaces. The paid plans allow you create more workspaces.

On creating a workspace, you will receive a mail with the sign up details. To sign in, go to the Ideolve website, www.Ideolve.com and click on the Sign In link. Enter your email id. If you have created more than one workspaces with this email id, you will be prompted to select one. On the next pop-up, enter your password.
Once you’re in, Click on the + sign on the top left corner of the Ideolve page to create a new note. In the note view, enter the subject. And start recording your ideas.

There is no limit on the number of notes you can create in a workspace.

After you’ve created a Note, Use the share button at the top right corner of the Note to bring up the share widget pop-up. The note can be shared with a contact by simply entering their email id. The share widget will prompt you to invite the person with whom you have shared the note to your workspace.
Sharing without an invitation to your workspace allows the invitee to view the note. If you send an invite, then on joining your workspace, the invitee can comment on the note shared and create notes in the workspace.

One way to invite someone to your workspace is to use the share note widget. Using this widget you first share a note and then invite the person with whom you have shared the note. If the invitation is sent along with the link to the shared note, then in the note view, the invitee will see a Sign Up button. On clicking the Join Workspace button, the invitee will be prompted to fill in a registration form. Once the invitee is successfully registered on the workspace, she can post comments on the note shared and create new notes.
The other way to invite is to go to the User Panel and click on the Invite Users link. An invitation to join the workspace is sent by email. Click on the Join Workspace link in the invitation will show the Registration form.

Yes. Use the format bar at top of the note or comment. Besides highlighting the text with attributes such as Bold, Italic etc, you can also insert pictures, links and tables in the notes and comments.

Yes. Select the attachment icon on the top right corner of the Note View to upload a document to the note. You can attachment one or more documents. Similarly, you can upload documents to a comment. To insert pictures or files into the note or comment content, use the Upload menu on the format bar of the note or comment.

Yes. You can comment on your own notes. Each comment is a rich content and can have attachments, tables and other formatting.

Yes. To delete a note, click on the Delete Note icon on the Action Bar at the top right corner of the Note View. If you delete a note which you have authored and shared with others, it will be still visible with the people with whom you had shared the note. If you delete a note shared with you, the author and the other people with whom the note was shared, continue to see the note and all the comments.

Yes. Click on the subject in the header on the Notes View and save the note.

Yes you can delete any comments you may have added to the note. You cannot delete comments posted by anyone else.

Yes. Use the Ideolve mobile app to capture information or ideas on the go. You can create plain text notes and add images and attach documents from the app. These notes are saved on the mobile.

Yes you can upload notes created using the App to the Ideolve servers. Uploaded notes will be visible in the Ideolve web app.

A tag is a way to classify a note into a category. Each note can have one or more tags created by you. Tagging notes helps you to relate notes and quickly locate information.

There are two ways to create a tag. The first and most intuitive way to to attach a tag from the header of the note details view. Click on the + sign next to the tag icon and type in the tag name. If the tag is not present, then a new tag will be created and attached to the note.
The second way is to use the tag list view. Open the tag list view by clicking on the tag icon. Click on the + sign next to the Tags label and enter the tag name.

To attach a tag to a note, click on the + sign next to the tag icon on the header of the note view and start typing. You will see a list of existing tags which match your input. Select a tag. For a new tag, simply enter the name and a new tag will get created and attached to the note. You can attach more than one tag in this fashion.

There is no limit to the number of tags you can attach to a note. Adding more than one tag ensures that you find relevant information when working on different ideas and projects.

Yes. The tag will be deleted, but the note will be intact. Please note the only way to find a note without tags would be a literal search or search using the author's name.

Open the tag list view by clicking on the tag icon. The entire list of tags created by you will be displayed alphabetically sorted.

No. You can have as many notes as you like. The storage occupied by the notes and comments is not counted in the File Storage available for your plan.

There is no limit on the number. However, the total storage occupied by uploaded files should not exceed the storage allocated as per the plan.
